Arrow Minerals Ltd (ASX:AMD) has commenced a 2,700-metre reverse circulation (RC) drill program at its new Dassa gold discovery within the Divole West Gold Project in Burkina Faso.

This program follows up the maiden December 2019 drilling which discovered gold mineralisation along a 3+ kilometre strike length with grades of up to 45 g/t gold.

Highlights from the 43-hole RC program in December included:

Highlights include:

  • 3 metres at 15.1 g/t gold from 53 metres including 1 metre at 44.7 g/t gold;
  • 17 metres at 3.3 g/t gold from 2 metres including 13 metres at 3.8 g/t gold;
  • 13 metres at 2.4 g/t gold from 31 metres including 5 metres at 3.2 g/t gold; and
  • 33 metres at 1.9 g/t gold from 21 metres including 9 metres at 4.3 g/t gold.

Arrow’s CEO Howard Golden said: “Follow-up drilling at the new Dassa discovery is designed to confirm a large and shallow mineralised zone with results of up to 45 g/t gold from our drilling in December 2019.

“Drilling results at Dassa and earlier results from Divole East give us confidence in our approach to targeting and testing for gold in this emerging camp in West Africa.”

Exploration continues at other projects

In addition to the drilling at Dassa, Arrow is completing surface geochemistry on the Nako, Hounde South, Divole East, and Boulsa projects in Burkina Faso.

Plans are also underway for follow-up of 2019 drilling at the Divole East that intersected mineralised zones of up to 10 metres at 4.3 g/t gold.

Once weather stops exploration in West Africa, Arrow will turn its focus to the gold and VMS hosted copper-gold potential at the Strickland Project in Western Australia.
